Based in Oakland, CA, Highway 13 is a cover band that weaves gorgeous harmonies, rich acoustic textures, and heartfelt musicianship into every performance. Our sound draws from Americana, folk, bluegrass, and a bit of country, with songs from artists like Alison Krauss, Brandi Carlile, Neil Young, Old Crow Medicine Show, Kacey Musgraves, and more.
From sweet ballads to joyful foot-stompers, our ever-growing setlist blends timeless favorites and fresh discoveries — perfect for intimate gatherings, lively festivals, and anything in between.
Our story began in 2009 along Oakland’s Highway 13, where a few friends with guitars and a love of good tunes started jamming in living rooms and basements. Before long, we were playing our first gigs at Monaghan’s on the Hill (just a stone’s throw from the highway), the historic Claremont Hotel, and local pubs, schools, and community events.
We’re proud of our Oakland roots — but we’re always happy to travel wherever good music is needed.
